Setting up of NDRF unit

 Ministry of Home Affairs has approved to set up a Regional Response Centre (RRC) of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) near Yelahanka, Bengaluru, Karnataka for immediate response. For establishment of this RRC, 02 acres of land have been acquired by NDRF at Village Vennkatala, Yelahanka, Bengaluru North Taluk, Karnataka. Further Infrastructure development for this RRC at a cost of Rs. 6.49 crore has been awarded to Central Public Work Department (CPWD).

 

This was stated by the Minister of State for Home Affairs, Shri Kiren Rijiju in written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha today.
