GUIDELINES REGARDING RESERVED LOK SABHA CONSTITUENCIES
Under Article
334 of the Constitution, the reservation of seats in Lok Sabha
for the Schedule Castes and Scheduled Tribes shall cease to have
effect on the expiration of a period of sixty years from the commencement
of Constitution. That is upto January 25, 2010.
This information
was given by the Union Minister of Law, Justice and Company Affairs,
Shri Arun Jaitley in a written reply to a question from Dr. Abrar
Ahmed in the Rajya Sabha today.
