LIST OF LIFE SAVING DRUGS
The Supreme Court vide its
order dated 10.3.2003 in Special Leave to Appeal (Civil) 3668/2003
has directed, interalia, to review drugs which are essential and
life saving in nature till 2nd May, 2003. The Drugs
(Price Control) Order, 1995 does not make any distinction between
Life Saving drugs and other drugs. The Drug Policy, as amended
from time to time, is directed towards ensuring abundant availability
of quality drugs at reasonable prices.
This information was given
by the Minister of State for Chemicals & fertilizers, Dr.
Chhattra Pal Singh, in a written reply to a question in the Rajya
Sabha today.
