INDUCTION OF LAKSHYA IN
IAF
RAJYA SABHA
The Indigenously
designed and developed Pilot-less Target Aircraft - Lakshya
has been successfully test fired from the Interim Test Range.
Five Lakshyas have been delivered for induction into the
Indian Air Force as per their requirements.
This remotely controlled
aircraft is designed for training of missile and gun crews for
firing practice against a simulated enemy aircraft.
This information
was given by the Defence Minister Shri George Fernandes in a written
reply to Miss Mabel Rebello in Rajya Sabha today.
