PROCUREMENT OF QUALITY RAIL SPARES
The Ministry of
Railways has directed Zonal Railways to procure safety related
materials only from Research Designs and Standards Organization
(RDSO) approved sources to avoid asset failures and to improve
safety standards of rail services.
In a circular to
all Zonal Railway General Managers, the Government has said that
the performance of the approved sources would be monitored periodically
and the approval given for a limited period.
