PRIME MINISTER'S GREETINGS ON NUAKHAI
The Prime Minister,
Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee has greeted the people of Orissa on
the joyous festival of Nuakhai, which is being celebrated throughout
Orissa on 1st September, 2003.
In his message
the Prime Minister said that ‘Nuakhai’ celebrates the fruits of
hard labour as it symbolises people’s happiness on the arrival
of new paddy harvest. A cohesive force among the people, the festival
represents the harmonious social fabric of Orissa. May the message
of friendship, love and affection as fostered by ‘Naukhai’ usher
us in an era of peace, prosperity and happiness, Shri Vajpayee
added.
