NO TAKING OVER BURNPUR UNIT BY
INDIAN RAILWAYS

The Ministry of
Heavy Industries has sought for comments of the Ministry of Railways
on the representation from the Burn Standard Officers’ Association
addressed to the Committee on Petitions of the Lok Sabha for taking
over Burn Standard Company Ltd. as Railways’ captive unit, which
after due consideration was not found feasible.
This information
was given by the Minister of State for Railways Shri Basanagouda
R. Patil in a written reply to a question from Shri Basudeb Acharia
in the Lok Sabha today.
