There is no proposal to reduce
speed of all trains. However, in the wake of miscreant activity,
endangering safety of trains, the maximum train speed on certain
sections, considered vulnerable from sabotage point of view,
has been temporarily reduced during night time as a precautionary
measure.
This information
was given by the Minister of State for Railways Shri Bandaru
Dattatraya in a written reply to a question from Prof. Ummareddy
Venkateswarlu in the Lok Sabha today.
