In the Railway Budget it has been proposed to increase the frequency of 13 pairs of existing trains and to introduce 50 pairs of new trains.

Of these 9 pairs of new trains have been introduced and the frequency of 8 pairs of existing services have been increased. The remaining services will be introduced during the remaining period of 2003-2004.

This information was given by the Railway Minister Shri Nitish Kumar in a written reply to a question from S/Shri Savshibhai Makwana and Ravindra Kumar Pandey in the Lok Sabha today.
