EARNINGS THROUGH ADVERTISEMENTS
LOK SABHA
The Railways earned
Rs. 41.76 crores from display advertisements on their sites including
coaches in 2001-2002.
The Railways have
made efforts by giving newspaper advertisements, publishing information
brochures, having meetings with advertising companies from time
to time and establishing direct contact with prospective sponsors.
Officers have been nominated on the Zonal Railways to co-ordinate
in this respect.
This information
was given by the Minister of State for Railways Shri Bandaru Dattatraya
in a written reply to a question from Shri R.P. Khunte in the
Lok Sabha today.
