CANCELLATION AND DIVERSION
OF TRAINS
The Ministry of Railways
has issued orders extending by one month the cancellation of 2051/2052
Lokmanya Tilak-Madgaon-Lokmanya Tilak Jan Shatabdi Express and
diversion of 2617/2618 Mangla-Lakshadweep Express for a further
period of one month. The initial cancellation and extension of
these trains were for a period of 15 days from July 3, 2003.
The orders for
cancellation of Jan Shatabdi Express and diversion of Mangla-Lakshadweep
Express followed accidents on the Konkan Railway on June 21, 2003
caused by fall of boulders and heavy downpour.
