LATEST ON KONKAN RAILWAY ACCIDENT
In the Konkan Railway
accident of June 22, 2003 involving 902 Holiday Special, the number
of dead has gone up to 50 so far.
All dead bodies have
been sent to Goa Medical College. Twelve bodies have been identified.
The number of injured continues to be 25 including 15 grievous.
The affected AC III
tier coach and one general coach have been removed The engine
of the ill-fated train will be taken out after pulling out one
more coach. Restoration of traffic is expected this afternoon.
