FOUR PILLARS OF DEMOCRACY SHOULD BE STRENGTHENED TO PROMOTE PEOPLE-ORIENTED

Vice President,
Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat has said that in order to provide
people-oriented Government, the four pillars of Democracy should
be strengthened. He was inaugurating the book on Jaya Prakash
Narayan written by Shri Sachidanand here today. Shri Sachidanand
was Secretary to Jaya Prakash Narayan for a long time.
On this occasion,
he said, that today, the credibility of four pillars of democracy
is at stake. With deteriorating moral standards, the situation
is very grim. He said Lok Nayak Jaya Prakash Narayan always stressed
the moral values in public life and welfare of the poor. He said
the anti-poverty programmes may be successful provided we inculcate
the confidence among people in this regard.
