FUNDS RELEASED TO MEGHALAYA AND TRIPURA UNDER SGRY
Ministry of Rural
Development has released Rs. 10.79 crore as first instalment of
Central Funds under Sampoorna Grameen Rozgar Yojana (1st
stream) to four districts of Tripura during 2003-04. These districts
are Dalai, North Tripura, South Tripura and West Tripura.
An amount of Rs.
5.86 crore has been released as first instalment under Sampoorna
Grameen Rozgar Yojana (SGRY) first stream to the 6 districts of
Meghalaya during 2003-04. These districts are East Khasi Hills,
West Khasi Hills, West Garo Hills, East Garo Hills, South Garo
Hills and Ri Bhoi district.
The cash expenditure
on implementation of the programme is to be shared on 75:25 basis
between the Centre and the State respectively. The State Government
should release to the district the state cash share, within a
fortnight of the date of release of the central share.
