FOUR LANING OF DELHI-MORADABAD - LUCKNOW HIGHWAY

RAJYA SABHA

In order to facilitate smooth flow of traffic on the Delhi-Moradabad-Lucknow National Highway No. 24, bypasses have been constructed at Ghaziabad, Hapur and Moradabad and the road has been widened to 4 lanes between Delhi and Hapur. Traffic is generally moving smoothly on this National Highway.

This National Highway is already 4 lane upto Hapur (approx. 60 km. length). Proposal for its conversion into 4 lane beyond Hapur is at a preliminary stage.

This information was given by the Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Road Transport and Highways, Maj. Gen. (Retd.) B.C. Khanduri in a written reply to a question of Shri Harish Rawat in Rajya Sabha today.
