Bhavan from Monday to Wednesday this week. The gardens are home
to 30 species of medicinal and aromatic plants. Spread over 10
acres the herbal gardens which were started in October last year
will be completed in phases.
The Central Institute
of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CIMAP), Lucknow organised demonstrations
of extraction of oil from various plants grown in the gardens
for the visiting students. These oils are useful for various ailments.
The President, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam also visited the gardens
and took students around and told them about the importance of
herbal and aromatic plants. The officials of CIMAP were also present.

rich bio-diversity has a big potential of exporting herbal products
