PILOT PROJECT TO INTRODUCE INTERNET SERVICES

RailTel Corporation of India Ltd., a Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Railways, is planning to provide, as pilot projects, internet kiosks at New Delhi Railway Station and internet service on one of the trains, during 2003-2004. The train and route are under finalization.

This information was given by the Minister of State for Railways Shri Bandaru Dattatraya in a written reply to a question from Dr. Manda Jagannath in the Lok Sabha today.
