PROCEDURE FOR IMPORT OF ITEMS UNDER TARIFF RATE QUOTA - PRESS
NOTE
The Director General
of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has issued a Public Notice No. 7 dated
9th May, 2003 outlining the procedural modalities for
import of milk powder, maize, crude sunflower seed or safflower
oil and refined rape, colza or mustard oil at concessional rate
of duties under the Tariff Rate Quota (TRQ) mechanism. The specified
quotas under the TRQ can be imported through the specified designated
agencies as mentioned in the Public Notice. The aforementioned
designated agencies can make applications to the Exim Facilitation
Committee (EFC) in the office of DGFT-New Delhi in the prescribed
pro-forma for allocation of tariff rate quota on or before 01/06/2003.
