PRESS COMMUNIQUE
The President has been pleased to
transfer and appoint the following as Governors:
- Shri Vinod Chandra Pande, Governor
of Bihar is transferred and appointed as Governor of Arunachal
Pradesh for the remainder of his term vice Shri Arvind Dave.
- Shri Arvind Dave, Governor of
Arunachal Pradesh is transferred and appointed as Governor
of Manipur for the remainder of his term vice Shri Ved P.
Marwah.
- Shri Ved P. Marwah, Governor
of Manipur is transferred and appointed as Governor of Jharkhand
for the remainder of his term vice Shri Justice M. Rama Jois
(Retd.)
- Shri Justice M. Rama Jois (Retd.)
Governor of Jharkhand is transferred and appointed as Governor
of Bihar for the remainder of his term vice Shri Vinod Chandra
Pande.
- Lt. Gen. (Retd.) K.M. Seth,
AVSM, PVSM, Governor of Tripura, is transferred and appointed
as Governor of Chhattisgarh for the remainder of his term
vice Shri D.N. Sahaya.
- Shri D.N. Sahaya, Governor of
Chhattisgarh, is transferred and appointed as Governor of
Tripura for the remainder of term vice Lt. Gen (Retd.) K.M.
Seth, AVSM, PVSM.
Shri Arvind Dave
will continue to hold the additional charge of the office of the
Governor of Assam.
The above appointments
will take effect from the dates the incumbents assume charge of
their respective offices.
