TRAIN ACCIDENT CAUSED BY HUMAN
FAILURE
The Commissioner
of Railway Safety, Northern Circle, Shri G.P. Garg, in his statutory
inquiry into the dashing of train No. 4123 UP Pratapgarh-Kanpur
Intercity Express with the rear of road truck No. 53 L 9195 on
March 3, 2003 at a manned level crossing between Talakhajuri
and Gauriganj staions on Pratapgarh-Lucknow section
of North Central Railway has held that the accident was caused
by Human Failure.
As a result of the
accident, five train passengers were injured, three of them grievously.
The preliminary report
of the Commissioner is under consideration of the Government.
