FOOD PLAZAS ON RAILWAYS
Indian Railway Catering
and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), a public sector undertaking of
the Ministry of Railways, has planned to commission 40 multi-cuisine
Food Plazas by the end of March, 2004.
So far, IRCTC has
awarded 47 licences for setting up of multi-cuisine food Plazas
at Railway Stations. Thirteen Food Plazas have become operational.
The multi-cuisine
Food Plazas at major Railway stations are designed to provide
healthy and hygienic food to the passengers in a neat air-conditioned
ambience.
