COACHING OPERATIONS INFORMATION SYSTEM
A Coaching Operations
Information System (COIS) has been planned at a cost of Rs. 7
crores for introduction on Indian Railways in the current financial
year.
This follows
announcement by the Minister of Railways in the budget speech
for 2003-2004.
The COIS system
consists of three modules. Module 1 (Punctuality) has been made
ready and is under implementation.
The web enabled
COIS system is designed to monitor and improve punctuality of
trains.
