SHRI VIJAY GOEL SPEAKS TO ANJU GEORGE
OVER PHONE, CONVEYS CONGRATULATIONS
Shri Vijay Goel,
Minister of State for Youth Affairs & Sports spoke to Mrs.
Anju George and congratulated her on her excellent achievement
of winning the Bronze Medal in Long Jump in the World Athletics
Meet in Paris. The Minister spoke to Mrs. Anju George for three
minutes and enquired as to how she felt at this momentous occasion.
Mrs. Anju informed the Minister that she was highly elated and
was receiving congratulatory messages from many persons including
the President of India. Mrs. Anju also informed that she along
with her husband and Coach, Shri Robert Bobby George would be
returning to Chennai on 15th morning.
The Minister also
spoke to Shri Robert Bobby George and congratulated him on the
achievement of his wife and disciple and expressed that the country
had high hopes from both of them in the Olympic Games next year.
