THE IFFI’99 MEDIA CENTRE

    The Press Information Bureau, Government of India, has set up a state-of-art Media Centre at Hyderabad, the venue of
the 30th –International Film Festival of India-99 (IFFI-99).

    The Media Centre, situated in the Jubilee Hall, Public Gardens, will provide a host of facilities to the media. It has an
Accreditation desk where special accreditation will be provided to the journalists wanting to cover the IFFI-99. The Media
Desk will arrange to issue necessary press releases including the synopsis of the films in various sections of the Festival. The
Photo Desk of the Media Centre will provide the journalists stills of various films on request. It will also release, on a
day-to-day basis, photographs relating to various events of the Festival.

    A state –of-art workroom has also been created within the Media Centre for the benefit of the mediapersons. It is fully
equipped with computers which can be used by journalists to prepare their copies and stories in four languages i.e. English,
Hindi, Telugu and Urdu.

    The material, which will be released by the PIB in terms of synopsis, press releases, photographs, etc. can also be

    The Telecom and Postal Departments are cooperating with the PIB by setting up necessary communication facilities for the
journalists.
