This is the story of one of the important historical characters of the 20th century, and undoubtedly, one of the most controversial, loved and hated in Argentine history.

Eva Duarte was better known as Eva Peron, wife of the political leader Juan Domingo Peron and leader of the populist movement which surged up in1945 in Argentina. This is the first time Eva Peron is portrayed by the local cinema, with special attention on the last two years of her life – she died at 33 following a painful illness. It was a significant phase in the history of Argentina which Desanzo attempts to show by delving into the lives of Peron and Evita beyond what was evident to the public eye.
